I think a selfish approach is necessary when dealing with and getting through life changes like a break-up. Put yourself first, which is good food, hard training, lots of rest and being kind to yourself -- chasing the shiny stuff like getting trashed and wallowing in self pity the next day feels productive for about a week until the self-defeating messages creep in that it's all you deserve. It's easier to avoid that route than get stuck on it.

Peer pressure can suck and sometimes you can say, "No, I don't feel like drinking at the moment," until the cows come home and they still don't listen *laughs*.

There's plenty of dating sites online to meet sober girls. Some girls online are close to being clinically insane, which is a whole other challenge, but there might be some enjoyment in meeting a few for coffee or something outside the club scene.
