Hey,
I"m starting to look into building a home gym. Does anybody know of a business that sells power racks with holes that are less than a few inches apart ? i've seen racks with holes about 1-2 cm's apart & would really like somethin' like that. Idea's?

And in answer to your question:
Toronto Barbell does them with 0.5" spacing, but they're very expensive ($1300 with no extras) and there's a 6 month turnaround. You really don't need those though - you basically need one around benching height, and thats about it. I'd recommend the muscle motion or powertec racks (get the packages if you're after a complete home gym).

The muscle motion racks from gym direct look great, Ive got one travelling across the nullarbor as we speak.
Im with Oliver on the spacing, you can always put something under the bench (chipboard, another rubber mat etc) to bring the height up a little if the standard spacing is not perfect |

Powerbuilder's in brisbane I'm pretty sure.
I have my own fully welded rack. My mate and I roadtripped to sydney in his ute to pick it up. Totally worth it ![]() Edit: Powerbuilder, the guy will also offer you a bar and $80kg of weights at an additional cost. I can also hook you up with a commercial quality flatbench once you've got it, also in queensland.

You could always use a hole saw and drill out some extra holes in between the existing holes around the areas you need them.
Probably just at the top/bottom of your bench press and top of squat. |

ah, sorry then mate!
well then its pretty much a choice between the muscle motion and powertec set up, personally I'd go the powertec. If I were you I'd get onto samsfitness and order a powertec and ironmaster bench ($1250), and order the 215kg olympic rubber coated barbell set from gymandfitness upgrading the bar to a heavy duty one with a 1500 lb capacity and getting 25kg rather than 20kg discs.
