I would assume you could still do most exercises, anything lying down or sitting, maybe you will need to use lighter weights, bigger reps if the leg is unable to offer to much stability action. Targeting the leg may be a hassel, not sure if you can do hammy curls, or leg extension, I would also take this oppertunity to stretch you leg / hip muscles if you cant work them.
I mentioned elsewere swimming will be a great all over exercise, and will really help with aerobic fitness and weight loss.

Then wait 6 weeks, and then keep an eye on the wound for any signs of infection..water is a great rehab type exercise.

You can practically do everything.
1. Leg press 2. Leg extension 3. Leg curl 4. Bench press 5. Pullovers 6. Lat pulldowns 7. Seated/lying down tricep extensions 8. Seated d/bell or b/bell curls 9. Dips between two benches 10. Crunches 12. Throwing a medicine ball around in different position to your partner (for a killer core muscle workout) 11. Etc... Fadi.

no offence trofius but stretching may not be the best method... if she has a weakness in the joint stretching (may cause hypermobility) it will just end weakening the joint moreso... swimming is great for increasing mobility and its a low impact exercise which is generally good but if theres a strength issue which inhibits her putting any weight on that leg the joint is most likely too weak, this sort of strengthening is best left to a physiotherapist for rehabillitation... as for upper body work go nuts lol ive found a great way to activate your core even while sitting down is just using one arm at a time... takes alot of concentration to keep the core tight and the back straight... so start off light... but this will work great for building strenght
hope this has been of some help
