Default Have you met somebody famous?

Have you met someone "famous"? What were the circumstances, chance meeting, organised event?

After meeting them, where they what you thought they would be, did the meeting change your perception of them?

Even better if you have a pic of the meeting post it up.

I have met
Wilbur wild and Red simons in a lift at myers melbourne
A few football players
Went to school with the Rocca brothers (afl footballers)

Haven't met but I am related to former mr universe Gary Lewer.

Lyn Jones wouldnt be a household name but he is a well known name in the Olympic Lifting community. Did my level 1 coaching license under him a few years ago, as well as spent a day training under his wing.

My oddest meeting was yelling to Dave Faulkner of the Hoodoo Gurus to get his attention and ask if he could sign an album cover. He turned and walked into a pole. He was gracious though and took the record in for the band to sign even though his head hurt.

Sigrid Thornton used to train at my old gym every now and then. She was a beautiful, petite, China doll and seemed nice. I don't know how crusty, charmless JD trained so many well-known people as he also trained someone on Neighbours and other actor types (I don't watch a lot of TV).

The same gym played host to the old Melbourne Magic and whatever-else-they-were-called basketball team. Brian Goorjian did a great job of handling a bunch of oversized man-boys, but Chris Anstey was lovely and normal and I met him a couple of times through a friend. They used to take over the stereo and play crap like 'Eye of the Tiger'. This was not good.

And when the Oarsome Foursome came in occasionally, woooooooooooo, my girl hormones went crazy! I still swoon when James Tomkins appears in those silly canned fruit ads.

As far as "Hello I`m X nice to meet you" meetings go I met Kevin Sheedy in a gym on the NSW coast last Xmas.Nice guy.My brother,he and I talked footy, fishing etc.
Served breakfast to the Choirboys, lead singer was an arrogant tosser. Also served Goanna,Martin St James,James Blundell.
Brushes with fame,I have a million.Almost bumped face first into Jeff Fenech at a hotel in Broadbeach.
Was cut off by a guy in a convertible. He waved to apologize - Joe Bugner.
Wayne Carey and Mick Martin called in to a pub I was at one Sat. night when they were driving from Sydney to Melbourne after a game.
Delivered a pizza on the Gold Coast to an Aussie hornbag actress whose name I forget (real famous!)
Kylie Minogues pink limo went right past me.
Grew up in the same town as Nick Cave.
The drummer from the Angels was staying over the road from my grandfathers when I was there.By the time Grandpa remembered the band was the Angels and not the Devil`s Disciples he was long gone
Must be a few more but can`t remember right now.

Big Patricio, man he was a great scrummager, fairly inept offensively but a great scrummager and tackler just what you want in a front rower, he used to kill people at the scrum, ohh man, i'd love to meet him.

I bet he eats nothing but meat and drags him wife around by the hair like a real caveman!
