I think it would be interesting to see the variety in peoples' occupations on this forum.
Also add what your plans are for next year career-wise. I'm a part-qualified accountant and full time uni student. However as of December I will hopefully be neither of those. Next year I will be taking any work I can (but will probably stay away from accounting) to help save up for some traveling I will be doing in the second half of next year. I will be hitting up the world cup and then spending a year in the states. What about you guys? |

Mostly running a small warehouse, unloading containers, stock control and despatching orders.
Pretty boring, and tiring at times, but it pays the bills. Career plans for next year, same thing I suppose. Couple years later will be semi-retired and will do a little property developing, although I think working long and hard will be difficult to give up, what else is there to do??? |

I work for a wholesale distribution computer networking company.
It can be interesting at times, but unfortunately for me I'm getting dumped with the boring jobs and the jobs no one else wants to do so I am finding it a challenge in that regard. I've applied for an internal transfer to a field based role maintaining our comms sites which will start Feb next year...if I'm lucky enough to get it. Otherwise I'll be staying put and studying up ready for pay rise or job change. Studying Cert 3 and 4 in fitness on the side, but I doubt I'd ever do it as a job, at least not in the next 10 years. |

I am exactly the same as you Hobo. Part-qualified accountant currently in the middle of a degree. Next year, more study and work. I am doing an accounting and financial planning double major. I am still not sure exactly which way I will head, accounting is ok at the moment though.

Cool! I started a Masters in GIS but it wasn't for me.
Instead, I'm working as a number cruncher.
