Default bottom bicep / elbow pains

hey guys, in the past week or 2 i have somehow tweaked my left arm (around the lower bicep / elbow region).. it returns on training days, and ive just had a 3 week break (the problem started just before i had a break), the arm got better and now it has returned!!!!!

it hurts mostly when im doing bench press and bicep exercises...
trying to troubleshoot possibilities

thanks

I'd really recommend talking to your GP or a physio for this.

elbow is a common injury to bicep exercising.

Give it a rest.

They swell intensely during weightlifting...which causes a lot of DOMS. Keep up the fish oil and glucosamine and heal some.

Two weeks later drop your weight a bit and work on high rep exercises. This will increase vascularity etc which helps pumping the blood through the narrow elbow.

I think I've done the exact same thing at the last PTC comp Alex.

Its fine when I'm not training but same as you it came back when doing bench and also with chins.

Being very controlled with the movements helps, no jerking. But apart from that just give it rest.

Lose the bicep crap for a while and overhead press in place of the bench.

And-consider using dumb-bells after rehab.

Actually rehab with dumbells.
Changing to a neutral grip on the pull-ups could also ease the irritation.

Might have to give it a month or 2 more of healing time. Elbows and shoulders are the worst. Cancels so many exercises..
