Maybe read the whole thread Kapow, I passed on the bid so Im not buying the set, I already had the bid set before I posted here, I won, listened to you guys and decided not to buy it.
I just had to get around you guys telling me that Isotonic training is beter than isokinetic. Thats the opposite of what i learnt, then again I didnt know about compound training so have learnt that. Its all a learning process, I didnt come in here saying i knew everything the first thing I said is that im the real noob (sorry noobs) and will listen to all the advice I get. Only thing im wondering is I think afew of you guys are caught up on getting 'big'
Yeah I want abi of size but I want to be overall fit aswell. I dont have the option of simply bulking up like you guys as I HAVE to keep some of my aerobic ability especially for my motocross.

Yeah you got it shaunton, I want to bulk myself up but not to the amount where my aerobic ability suffers. Guess im gonna have to wait and see what type of cheap gear I can pickup before I start too look at routines and nutrients.

Its so ****ing hard to bulk up trust me, you will have no problems. Flexabiity is fine as long as you stretch and look after yourself.

Most bodybuilders are more flexible then the general public watch a comp alot of dudes doing the splits and other stuff.

The worlds strongest man does ballet to stay flexible..

If your worried about bulking up too much you'll be fine. Personally I can say I've been trying to bulk up, and it's bloody hard for me! But I did the bridge to brisbane a week ago, with no training because I'd had surgery about a month beforehand. And because I was still relatively fit from weights...I did it in a time of 22:06 (for 5k). Which isnt too bad.

Jonathan Brown and Barry Hall can both bench press 150kg+. Last time i checked they were both pretty good at football.

Really less worries about isokinetic and isotonic, or isometric even. Just get under a bar and lift. An example of a guy who did not use machines to get bigger in his early days: Arnold. And his use of machines later on was limited to what would actually benefit him. He lifted with a bar, some plates and if you saw a photo of him at 16 you would be more than happy with his size. He did not worry about whether it was his full ROM was having the same force upon it at all time he just got his ass under a bar and lifted heavier and heavier.

I would say go join a gym. Does your uni have a gym? Noobs has stated golds in NSW has lower prices, I know my uni in VIC has really low prices for students. Put your cash towards a 3-6 month membership and see if you keep it up, or if you are lucky they may not even have contracts. Put a little away each week for the coming membership in 3 to 6 months time.

Please do not buy a multi gym in 3 months time you will be only be able to use it by deadlifting the whole machine from the floor.

Also maybe try working more than one day a week, find another job where you can do two days at least. 2 days is not a problem and double your money is much better. I go to uni at night for my masters (4 nights a week), have much bigger assignments than any undergrad, am married so I have a wife to pay attention to and still work 32 hours a week. I would not suggest that but 16 hours or even 20 all up would not hurt and would easily pay for your expenses. Service stations have flexible hours and not bad pay for an easy job, supermarkets are the same.

Good luck either way.

I got the perfect job for the situation i'm in mate. I could easily do more shifts but I think its much more important to pass my course, Im spending more on that than im making anyway. UNI will always come first. On occasion I will work 2 maybe even 3 shifts (all 8 hours) and I go to full time in the breaks.

I have the option of working day, arvo or night shift and get $27+ for doing something that doesn't stress me out one bit. Leaving my mind fresh for UNI

Wouldn't be anywhere else
