efinatley compounds are the way to go. Not saying isolations don't have a role in BB but for quick size and strength compounds are the WTG.

Started training again today using the Shotgun method.

TMUSCLE.com | Shotgun Method

Pull - Ups supersetted with Military Press
6 x 8 < 100 secs rest

Deadlift
6 x 8 < 120 secs rest

the shotgun method sounds pretty good and makes a lot of sense. I'm definitely putting it in the 'routines to try' box.

Adrian, your enthusiasm right now is on level 11 out of 10. Your joints first and muscles second, need few weeks to get back into the "swing" of things. If you have chosen to do the shotgun method of training (or any other for that matter really), my advice is very slowly does it.

This is a time for higher reps, followed by mid reps, and then gets in heavy with the shotgun approach. Your joints will thank you for it.

I understand what you are elluding to Fadi, but the weights I used were very modest and by no way went to failure on any set.

Zottman Curl supersetted with Lying Dumbell Extension
5 x 7 each
Seated Calf Raise
5 x 12


30m mins cardio later this evening (moderate walk)

Fadi - Great to be back. I hate not training.
