Between the milk, eggs and cottage cheese there should be around 50gms or more of protein, why the scoop of whey?

My breakfast shake;
350ml full cream milk (might change to low/no fat) 1 scoop ON gold standard double rich choc WPI 1/3 cup oats 1 banana Small handful frozen berries

It's better to have low GI carbs in the morning as well as protein. That's why most people have oats.
