The Aussie's ended up with a comfortable win, good to see Waston finally get a ton.

England also had a good win, beating Sth Africa (ranked #2) by an innings and 98 runs.

Yes the Aussies won but Ponting got it wrong with the first declaration.
Why give the Paki's a sniff. He's a bit lucky they crumbled in the second dig.

Bring on Sydney. I think I might attend.

watson cant bat at 5,6,7. he looked terrible there when he first came in the team. he need a fresh start. as an opener every innings is pretty much the same 0-0 on the scoreboard and if he fails there's 5 or 6 batsmen to cover for him. thats when he does well.

Fair point but he only played 2-3 tests and number 5 or 6.
He will not be opening again after this summer. mark my words.

haha, i dont know. he's going alright. all the sucess he's had has been at the top of the order, even in one dayers and 20/20. feel sorry for hughes tho, we'll see how he goes tomorrow if he plays

Yeah he might get a game ecause Katich is in doubt. If he does get a game and scores runs they cannot drop him, Marcus North will then be under pressure and i think that's where Watson should be batting at 6 instead of North.

North should make way for Smith I believe. Smith could bat 6 with Haddin, Johnson and Hauritz coming in after him, and he's a much better bowler than North.

I'll make some stupid predictions so you guys get a chance to laugh at me, its only fair.

If rain doesnt intervene, Australia win series 3-0

Watson will make at least 2 more hundreds this series.

England wont win SA series

Watson will win the AB medal in February.

For the record, I'm not a Watson fan, but I acknowledge he's been the best performed Aussie this year.

I did not say he could not bat, but we all know opening the innings is difficult enough let alone bowling 15-20 overs of fast bowling as well. It's clearly a stupid decision to have a specialist opener (Hughes) not playing when he should be and watson could easily fill the all-rounder position at number 6.
Hauritz struggles to take top order wickets. A part-timer would have taken 5 lower order Paki wickets.
