Does nothing extra compared to a stable bench!

Depends if you have balance or stability problems, you most likely don't and we all shouldn't.

yeah i was thinking more along the lines of rehab and exercise for the elderly.

I know of a guy who was doing db chest press on a swiss ball and it popped and broke both his wrists...

How'd he break his wrists? I'd be more worried about his back/neck landing on the ground...
