Specific static stretches for problem areas that are held for about 2min in total are quite effective at mobilizing problem areas in a joints ROM.     Dangerous if control is not kept. Without control joint integrity will most likely be lost which can lead to an acute injury or even a chronic overuse injury. The loss of control can also throw out the proper mechanics of the lift and reduce efficiency and therefore strength output.

    This guy with a doctorate of medicine does still not sound like a specialist in endocrinology and therefore makes your move none too bright. Go see an endo and you won't have to ask for advice on the internet from people who have next to nothing of the knowledge the specialist will have.

    About becoming a personal trainer

    Talk to the registration companies about what you need to be registered. Give them your transcript and they should be able to tell you what you need to get registered. I would advise working as a PT first to get experience in base level exercise programming and instruction and continue working...
