    BCAA's serving size?

I've never heard that honestly. As far as I'm concerned, BCAAs is just protein. The only reason I use it (instead of simply WPC or WPI) is because: 1) I can drink it while i train (which arguably isn't necessary, but I don't really like just having water), as opposed to WPC or WPI which...

    BCAA's serving size?

I don't really think there is a serving size for BCAAs, it is just protein as far as I'm concerned. I have about 20-30g a day, mostly during training, but sometimes just when I want something to drink (mine tastes delicious)

body-building versus strength training, differences in approach

My thoughts on this are in my 'thoughts on training thread'. Both have their place and I believe the best gains can be made by incorporating both. I think pure bodybuilding style training is 'all for show', in that you aren't really building that much functional strength. But pure strength...

    Pistachio's thoughts on training

Oh right. Yup, certainly makes it hard. When I first started training, I occasionally had 16 hour work days (6-10am) followed by (12noon - 12 midnight). Guess what I did on my 2 hour lunch break? Lol

Weightlifter Dies In A Power Lifting Competition

While I agree with the point about suicide grip, surely the spotters could have saved him if they were switched on, it's only 90kgs per side. If you have both hands under the bar, that could easily be caught.

Pistachio's thoughts on diet / nutrition

If I go out, I almost always just get a piece of meat with some veggies. So fish, or chicken, or steak, or whatever the place has. I would typically do it on a day that I train, as with sauces and what not, it'll usually be higher calorie. Most of the time, I just don't care though. I don't...

    Has anyone tried Albuterex?

I don't think you even need creatine. And I don't consider protein (pure WPC or WPI) a supplement, it's just food really. So you don't really need any supps IMO :)

    Pistachio's thoughts on training

To follow on from my thread on diet / nutrition, here are my thoughts on training and workouts. As with my other thread, it is somewhat scatterbrained, I hope you can follow it and find it useful and or interesting. Most of the information here is geared more towards people aiming to get as...

Pistachio's thoughts on diet / nutrition

It's all basic stuff, nothing ground breaking, nor is it intended to be. It is just my thoughts on what should be, in my opinion, something pretty simple really. But yeah, hardly anyone is patient these days. Yet it is the people who are patient who make the best progress in this game. If...

Pistachio's thoughts on diet / nutrition

Well, that remains to be seen, not sure how many people will get value out of this, but I thought it'd be good to write down my thoughts as I have friends and family asking me these types of questions quite often. So if this thread doesn't add much value here, it'll still have been a useful...
