    Mike and Taz competed at the Spring Cup on Saturday. Mike went 160/100/195 going 8/9 missing a 3rd bench of 105. Taz went 200/130/220 going 7/9 missing a 210 squat and 135 bench. His deadlifts went really well. He ended up pulling 230 backstage afterwards. urqEL7SFZFc

    What is the technical flaw in your squat you are working on improving?

    I mean the knees shouldn't just be moving back and forward, but outwardly as well. This allows the lifter to sit into the hips, transferring the weight to the posterior chain and allowing them to maintain a more upright position.

    That diagram is so terribly misleading. One of the first things I tell new lifters is that their knees shouldn't operate on one plane (like in the picture). As for what I'm working on, speed and explosiveness.
