    which gym is this? I have a similar guy who trains in sunnies as well, older guy, even on the treadmill when he's running he has the sunnies on lol.

    Agree with Bazza20, grains and dairy is fine. I lost over 10 kg on a diet with some grains and plenty of milk, yoghurt and so on. Even have milk with protein shakes.

    I used to train at 4.30 am, when I think about it now, I can't believe I used to go that early but when I was, I would either have a banana or some dried apricot before training.

    How important is the deadlift?

    I think so, for me anyway, the form tends to be a bit sloppy unless I really drop the weight. I tend to go not more than 8 depending on how heavy the weight is. Very taxing on the body.

    Usually the squat rack because there is only 1, if it's busy, I'll use the V squat machine instead.

    I'm not willing to travel anywhere further than my suburb. I have my own stuff at home which I do occasionally but I'm also a member of the local gym because the price was too good to refuse.

    I agree totally. The big 4 or 5 is the staple of my training, then I add things like side laterals, curls and so on.
