I have the troy Texas bar from gym and fitness, it is made by Capp and is EXACTLY the same bar as others sell and claim to be the "real" one

    Show us your Home Gym

here's mine, been building up my equipment for a while, now that I have a shed I can fit more equipment in. Previous house I managed with squat stands, flat bench, bunch of weights and a bar, plus the same platform under a pergola

2013 IPF Raw World Championships (Suzdal, Russia)

I really don't get the hatred towards the Kazakh guy doing a light squat to get the bench record. There is no Raw bench only worlds, so the only way to get the world record bench was to lift in the 3 lift, it's obvious from his 240kg deadlift that his squat and bench were well below par, so...

    Buying a quality barbell

I'm not sure what the PTC knurling is, but if it's like the knurling on the Ironedge bar get that, as the standard ABC power bar knurling is like the texas power bar and it's pretty harsh and will tear your hands up with a high volume routine like Sheiko. wouldn't bother with the olympic...

    Buying a quality barbell

Iron Edge make good equipment, but I wouldn't touch that chrome bar, get the Ironedge premium bar, the ABC power bar, or a Texas Power bar. All about the $600 mark, and none of them have chrome. The word chrome anyway in a bar description is a warning signal that it's for newbies and tightwads.

    Best value for money

Width is the main issue, the price for the commercial rack is reasonable considering how big and how much accessories come with it, But unless you need the weight storage the cheaper rack does everything I do in the commercial rack, and is narrower which is my major annoyance with the...

    Best value for money

I already have the Force usa commercial rack, but if I had the choice to choose again I'd get this one Force USA - Power Rack with Band Attachments | Gym and Fitness the commercial one you can't deadlift from inside the rack, and it's a bit too wide, even the new narrower ones. If you want to...

    Wrestling Shoes

I wear them for deadlift as the provide the benefits of deadlift slippers with ankle support and the tighter feel of of a shoe Not so great for squat and bench, and I also found they are not suited for sumo deadlift as they are pretty narrow.

    Thin plates

I was going to suggest the Ironedge 5kg metal plates that I have but doesn't look like they sell them any more

Which rack? Force USA for Muscle Motion commercial

I'm 5ft11 and can't touch the top part of the rack with bar during overhead press unless I hold the bar with both hands in the middle and stand on tiptoes There's about 1-1.5cm gap for bumpers to the floor, so if you wanted to deadlift inside you could put 2cm of heavy rubber mats on the...

Force USA Power rack 'narrower' upgrade kits

Can you confirm the exact measurements of the new pieces for the Commercial rack? I got some narrower bits from Force USA to make my commercial rack usable, but it's still too wide to recommend. The top crossbeam is currently 113cm wide and the width from outside of the posts is 128cm The bar...

To who? PA is growing. It's you guys who claim powerlifting is all the same sport who are complaining the most. why not spend as much time promoting your own various feds as you do whinging online My last post on this forum, I thought it was getting better but it's back to the old moaning...

think again on the costs As an example at recent WA comp that ASADA turned up at. 4 ASADA officials there for 4 hours. ASADA - Fees We had 18 lifters, if PA had to pay for own testing it would be the end of the organisation.

unpaid. For all you guys hate online about Robert he's done a lot of good as CEO of PA, and there's probably no-one else in the organisation willing to spend as much time and their own money on the sport.

    Force USA Power Rack

I've had two calls this morning from Tyson and Steve and GymandFitness. They are working on a solution to get me either a new narrow rack, or the narrow crossbars to convert the current rack, within 2 weeks. Either solution I'm happy with and now getting good service. Once I have the new or...
