and for Raw deadlifts the lack talc shouldn't make that much difference, as most of the people within range of deadlifts are used to lifting in suits, so should have a stonger lockout than they can get off the ground to make up for the increased friction. That's my theory anyway.

Equivalent example would be a CAPO event without a Monolift like the recent QLD comp. In this case good venue with a talc ban is better than a bad venue with talc allowed. Good lifters will adjust to the conditions.

it's not like chalk is banned, it's just talc which most of us don't use in training anyway. Not having talc is really only going to make a difference on an absolute grinder of a max effort lift.

    Beginners program

For most people timing of rest and reps is not required. I do the next set as soon as I feel capable, which can vary from enough time to change the plates, to having a few minutes to catch breath and get psyched up. This doesn't mean waiting till you are completely recovered, just recovered...

    Training At Melbourne Uni

while Con is a good lifter and a great asset to Melbourne Uni and PA, his best squat is 292.5kg equipped not 320kg raw. He's not lifting at Raw nationals, but I'm sure he'll be helping out as he always does.

    Squat depth

it's not just double ply. My super centurion I did 300kg in training about 3-4" high, and it came up easy, last years nationals I broke parallel but got squished. Of the two videos I thought Chucks was pretty good. Rob's was clearly high.

    The Insanity of Chuck Vogelpohl

For multiply that squat was pretty deep, not locked at start but not sure if that's even a rule for them.

    Andrey Malanichev at PTC

he did lift in the IPF before his third strike along with Balaev. Impressive lifter though, just like Coan, three strikes but still respected by majority of IPF lifters

    Tearing Biceps Whilst Squatting

Wayne, CAPO and most other organisations outside of IPF allow use of a specialised squat bar like Texas squat or Mastodon. These are 57" between the collars, compared to roughly 51.5 for a standard power bar. The extra width might be enough to avoid problems for you and other bigger lifters...
