    Dip form for bench carryover

It REALLY makes absolutely NO difference how you do your dips, just do them, heavy, light, low reps, high reps, leaning forward, staying vertical - all of that is going to account for very very very little when compared to the effect of good technique and sticking to a program.

I'll have to give that a try, when i first wore it someone told me its supposed to go there, and its always felt perfect.

    The slingshot

I used the slingshot for about 12/15 sessions over a month, doing about 6 sets 2- 5 reps between 85 and 95% of my slingshot max every session and got awesome results. I'm bench only at the moment so that helps, but i found that huge volume and intensity was really manageable with the...

    Beginners program

I think trying to decide what upper back muscles are activated more in any heavy rowing movement is like splitting hairs. Also, everyones going to be doing each variation with individual form. When someone told you DB rows don't hit rhomboids very much you should have stopped listening. If you...

Going on TV and stating your opinion against drugs is one thing. But to personally single out powerlifting fans who don't belong to your fed, and look at them like they are dirt, without ever having met or spoken to them, speaks of his personality and not his political motivations. Truth is...

Scott, Alex and I (3 GPC members) all went to a PA comp on the weekend. The owners of the gym said hello and had no problem with us being there, but Wilks looked at us as if we were dirt. I watched him stare down Scott for a good 10 seconds. The entire time i felt like i was behind enemy lines...

My questions were to get an understanding about drug tests in general, not to bring into question PA lifters. I just want to understand the actual reliability of drug testing procedures and why people are so quick to doubt them. I don't think that discussion should be off limits and would...

Cheers for the replies guys, All valid points. Christian, i think that tells me there is selective testing, however in PA i've been told SP gets tested a lot and i assumed this would be the case for all high level lifters. What i am mostly interested in is elite athletes as their records are...

Hope someone can answer this. Bazza you insinuated not every tested lifter is clean, what makes you believe this? We all say things like this, but i wonder if there is any actual facts behind any of our beliefs. I know in the past i have said this same thing with no evidence, i hope we...

I'm just curious, people always say that there are ways to get around random, year round testing. The only way i can see this being possible is if there is a) an official who tampers with tests b) an official who chooses not to test those who are using a drug or c) there is some sort of...

    Deadlift training opinions

If i were you i'd just deadlift like usual, and drop all deads a week out. The biggest thing you can do is work on your strategy, so breathing, practice bouncing your reps if your allowed, find out how many you can do leave a few reps in the tank and try to beat that on the day. You'll get no...

    Acupuncture for injuries

In my opinion having worked with acupuncturists and had many treatments, it is pretty much placebo. The only people who i saw in the clinic who were happy with results were people who were getting treated for things like energy levels, and used acupuncture as part of an ongoing health plan, and...
