Tall guy finding it hard to increase bench

I found most of my strength gains (kinda like laying a foundation) was doing a powerlifting style routine (like a 5x5 program 3 times a week) rather than a bodybuilding 4/5 day splits style routine (which I'm guessing is what you are currently doing?). Once you lay the base of core strength, you...

    Vitamins Question

Save the Berrocca for after a hard night on the lolly water and again the next morning! Stick to a good multivitamin (which should have the B vitamins you are predominantly getting from the Berrocca), the flax seed oil (which is reported to be a better source of omega 3 than fish oil) and...

What are YOUR meals at work!

9:00am mid morning - protein shake and 1 or 2 whole boiled egg 12:00 noon lunch - approx 200g tuna/chicken with heaps of green veges 3:00pm afternoon snack (pretty much pre-workout) - 2 table spoons of natty PB and a strawberry up and go - just a case of being organised and not lazy!

Fish and mercury - how much is too much?

No offense mate, but if you had done your research then you wouldn't be asking about fish like basa etc. Mercury is an accumulator and is therefore only an issue in older and larger fish. Basa (if you had done your research) are harvested within 12 months of age, therefore they do not have...

What to put in custom pre-workout mix?

Yep, stick with monohydrate, tried and tested over many years and still (IMO) the best and most cost effective.

What to put in custom pre-workout mix?

I'm taking 2 ATM, but to be honest all it does is make me feel tingly. Just have some caffiene instead, its cheaper and just the same IMO.

Long term relationships and it's effects.

Can't agree with that, success rates (if you can call it that) in the old days were because divorce wasn't an option - you just put up with your lot in life. The biggest problem we have is a society with the attention span of a gnat, a general lack of communication skills and a throw-away...

    Post Your Injury Stories!

Had a few drinks on a camping trip and decided to jump a fence into a cow paddock and try cow tipping. They are certainly a bit heavier than you first expect and after a 3rd running hip and shoulder, the cow stayed upright unaffected and I had a dislocated shoulder - not a big deal, but I then...

What to put in custom pre-workout mix?

I'm trying Jack3d at the moment, but normally I run with my own concoction of BCAA, glyciene, monhydrate creatine and maltodextrin with water. Post workout I throw some more creatine in my protein shake.

    Meals for work (any ideas)

Change it to brown rice, add some vegetables (broccoli for me) and tuna/egg. Add some sweet chili or hot sauce for taste. Personally I wouldn't add salt and I wouldn't bother with the protein shake - if you are trying to add calories increase your meal size.
