    Close stance or wide stance for squats?

    Yeah mate I've lifted (and competed) in $12 volleys for about 3 years now. Although I did just 'upgrade' to lifting in converse and I will admit they feel a lot more stable.

    Bulgarian method article on t-nation

    Singles don't really build any strength and the entire point of this thread is the Bulgarian method which uses 0 singles/ME days. However if you were peaking for a comp then having a few heavy singles late in your training cycle is worth it.

    Power Cleans

    There shouldn't be a shrug, the "jump and shrug" rippletits method of power cleaning is wrong. That being said they are a great whole body exercise and can really help with developing explosiveness for sports; I'd love to have bumper plates so I could do them without ending up with bruised quads.

    Competing in multiple feds would be great, there were only 3-4 comps in Brisbane for PA this year and as a beginner I would have loved to compete more. Especially coming from football where you get to play every weekend for ~12 weeks straight.

    Over under grip?

    Good thread to ask this question: When I supinate my non-dominant hand (lefty here) I can't grip properly if I place the bar at the base of my fingers. It also gives me elbow pain for days after. However if I take the 'wrong' grip at the base of my thumb it's fine (no pain and stronger grip).

    How to overcome competition nerves + general Q's

    I'm weak but here is how my warmup went (first meet ever): Bar x 5 (no pause) 40kg x 5 (no pause) 50kg x 3 (no pause) 60kg x 2 (no pause) 70kg x 1 (paused) 80kg x 1 (paused) Opened at 90kg This is VERY similar to how I warmup in a normal session (5,5,5,3,2,working).

    I've always wondered about this, how many hours a day would someone who is "hardcore" train and how much can you realisticly do in a session before you start over training? Can you actually do deads, then deficit deads then RDLs then GHRs in one session?

    Hi, Does anyone know if this soft suit: Underground Elite :: Powerlifting Gear :: Metal Bench Press Singlet/Soft Suit is IPF legal? I thought there was a rule about having logos on the suit. Also if anyone has a 2XL suit sitting around for sale I'd be interested in buying. Thanks
