    Over training/Under training

Hang on, we are in the bodybuilding forum aren't we? Lat pulldowns are a relevent exercise used to great effect by everybody from Ronnie Coleman to my old mate Dave down the road. And reducing his work sets to one or two after taking a week off certainly isn't going to improve growth if he...

    Over training/Under training

You're talking about two different things. Overtraining is a long-term process where you stop making your goals and / or slide backwards, along with the other symptoms already mentioned. If you feel crap some days and great others, that's just a normal part of being a normal person with a...

The wtf do you mean by that woman thread.

She is a woman. There's no possible way for you to understand what she meant. Stop trying and your life will improve.

Anyone else get gas from oats?

No man, it's not unhealthy. Whenever you start eating something like that: high fibre oats / beans / super high protein it can take your stomach a bit of getting used to. Either put up with the gas for a week or so and it will diminish, or stop and then add the oats back in slowly over a week or...

The quality from Rebel sport will be puss. Any from decent online stores will be better for the same money.

    10 Rules of getting BIG

Why not use a little common sense and, say, not drink 4L of milk a day? Try a litre, see if you start gaining weight. No? Try a litre and a half. If so, BINGO, stop increasing the amount of calories you're putting in your body. Milk has good ratios of protein, carbs, fats, and it's cheap as shit.

    4 Day Split: need advice

It's all from his website or claims in articles he's written. He might have trained some succesful athletes but so have other coaches who haven't sold out and made ridiculous claims. I don't have a problem with the concept of 'TUT', but time worrying about it doesn't belong in a relative...

    4 Day Split: need advice

Haha, you're so right! I'm going to sign up with Poliquin for some fat spot reduction and 'biosignature' analysis. Apparently I can get even faster results than on the reality TV shows, and, he even tells me the fat isn't my fault!! A quick fix AND i've been absolved of personal responsibility...

    4 Day Split: need advice

That's about all Poliquin does know, 'his shit'. Dude pushes some funky stuff. 99% of regular people will find just getting weight and reps down enough of a challenge without a bunch of other questionable stuff. No huge guy i've ever met or trained with has used the poliquin method.

    Labour work + Gym work?

It's been said, but good boots, heaps of food and water (a lot of people miss the water), good sleep - 8 hours plus, and then time to get used to the work. Take a couple weeks off training if you want, and only train on days when you feel really good. Then start adding the training back in when...

    Full Body Routine

Meh. It looks like a good routine but I liked your other one, the traditional bb split. If you're after a bb physique and relatively lean gain I reckon your other one is the go.

    Are you ready to lift?

My observation wasn't predicated on how many comps i've done, more on logic, but to answer your question I've competed in only one powerlifting comp matey. I'm a lifetime athlete and have competed in club rugby union, triathlons, been a sponsored surfer, played underwater hockey at a national...

    Are you ready to lift?

Obviously. But doesn't it seem a bit redundant if that's your answer and you knew that?

    Are you ready to lift?

You're right, strong is strong, but it's simply not feasable to be the same strength all the time. If that were the case then you're not progressing. People should have the mental toughness and physical conditioning to be able to go near their max almost any time, but most people don't, because...

    4 Day Split: need advice

I like your exercise choices and split, but can't see you maintaining intensity through sessions of that length. I'd stop at 5 - 6 exercises per workout if you're training with intensity. Eg. day 1 i'd drop an exercise from both chest and tri's. Then rotate the dropped exercises so they get done...
