Fuck dude, that's a nice lift.

    Should I do Starting Strength?

Sure. 1) He recently took a year off. 2) His definition of "heavy weight" is 4 sets of 8 reps (also inferring later that his training is high intensity). 3) He tried the routine & felt like it was easy, even though he added weight to his lifts. This indicates that he has some exciting, but...

Buying the best belt you can in Australia

Right you are. Incidentally I was in the same boat as you & decided against an Inzer belt altogether given that the Titan Longhorn was so easy to get hold of & cheap to ship.

Buying the best belt you can in Australia

Because anecdotally there HAS been a decrease in the quality of customer service, and when there are other choices in the marketplace, that kind of change is enough to warrant going somewhere else. Also, my decision to buy elsewhere has nothing to do with siding with either party in the HoP...

    Should I do Starting Strength?

After reading the OP's explanation of his training I came firmly to the opposite conclusion.

Buying the best belt you can in Australia

I pulled the trigger on a Longhorn belt through these guys earlier today. Standard USPS pricing (ie. $50 for standard air mail). The belt (10mm, single prong buckle, suede) was $79 USD. Seems pretty good. I'll post a review on the belt when it arrives.

I've e-mailed Minh from Titan Australia so hopefully that pans out OK!

Urgh. Looks like I'll be buying a Titan.

Buying the best belt you can in Australia

I'm interested in knowing what turned you off using House Of Pain? I'm pretty keen on buying an Inzer but like you say, shipping is a disaster & HoP seems decent?

Hi [you] and welcome to ausbb

Hey guys, new on the forum, some great knowledge here. I'm restarting training after a lengthy layoff. My goals are purely strength-related, increasing my squats, deadlifts & presses. I have broader goals of perhaps competing in a powerlifting meet one day. My current (post-layoff) lifts are...

    Should I do Starting Strength?

I'm a big believer in Starting Strength. Of course it feels light & easy when you start. That's the reason you can progressively & consistently add weight to the bar & see outrageous strength gains in short periods of time. If you add too much weight in the beginning your longer-term progress...

    Force USA Power Rack

Yo kg3. My cage does have a small amount of shake. Bolting to the floor helps, but doesn't eliminate it. I don't think it's too much of a concern though. When I used to train at an unmentionable commercial gym (shudder, vomit) even their heaviest power rack would get some movement in it when you...

    The PB Thread

I haven't trained for a year. Just getting back into it now after setting up my own training space in the garage. My previous PB's were set early last year. Squat - 155kg Deadlift - 190kg Bench Press - 115kg Power Clean - 75kg Press - 80kg Can't wait to increase those numbers, but I haven't...

    Force USA Power Rack

Here's some input from me... I just assembled mine... found a great deal on a barely-used F-PC and decided to pull the trigger. I'm really happy with this rack. It's solid, heavy & feels like it will withstand a beating. I'm glad I went this way rather than spending more & getting a commercial...
