    About becoming a personal trainer

I strongly agree with you Kyle on most of the points raised. The only thing is that I believe that the Biggest Loser is good in the sense that it does raise awareness of the importance of exercise and nutrition. I say this conditionally...because I certainly do not agree with their meal...

    Cla

I have used CLA and quite enjoyed using it. Not sure how effective it was for increased fat oxidation (the science suggests that it may be), but it is quite good for general wellbeing. FYI, we have some dirt cheap CLA available: CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) It's the cheapest I've come...

Interesting Article on what meat is best to eat

Mmmm crocodile and kangaroo, yes please. I love kangaroo, but the smell of it when being cooked tends to repulse most people. So...I don't eat it all that often :(

    Newb question on protien

It's $9.90 to Melbourne for all orders(Dymatize, Optimum etc). But orders over $300 in total have free delivery.

    Newb question on protien

Speaking personally, I would agree with upg. WPI is expensive and from my personal training experience, a WPI/WPC blend can be just as effective without the hole in your pocket. Personally I use the Dymatize Natural Elite (I have a new found respect for non-artificially sweetened products!)...

Stacks - To Buy or Not To Buy?

Quick question guys and girls. We just received a customer suggestion to offer "stacks", or a combination of complimentary products as a package through our store. So, would you prefer to purchase a stack as a package? If so, what would you like to see? If not, why not? Thanks! Online...

    Glutamine is King!

Good post Fadi, I agree. If you were to consume 2g of glutamine a day, then based on the cost of $67.70 for a kilo that we sell it at, it works out at 13.5c per serve. It may seem expensive as an up-front cost, but it is one supplement that will last you a long time! Dymatize Micronized...

    Importing supplements.

A lot of people have had nightmares with customs and protein powders. You can import some products, but you do have to be careful on which products you buy. You will run the risk of having the products seized if they don't conform to Aussie standards.

    Good Quality and Cheap WPI

I'd be careful importing protein powders, customs have a tendency to seize them. If you're looking for cheap and good quality, I would go for the Dymatize range: Dymatize Elite Whey 4.5kg Protein Powder I'm sure you could find cheaper, but you would have to assess the quality of the product too.

What would you order in a restaurant?

I love buffets - you can always get a good salad, decent meat and some good grains. Subway is good. At a pub, I'll go for any meat based dish. I tend to steer clear of desserts and deep fried foods.

Should I be drinking protien shake??

Similiar-ish. Flavours will vary from brand to brand though. Personally I don't mind either.

    'Sports Drinks'

Sports drinks certainly have their place in the fitness industry, yet many consumers drink these products as "everyday drinks" thinking that they are healthier alternatives than carbonated equivalents. Sure, a lower acid content, but still filled with sugars which certainly are not good for the...

Should I be drinking protien shake??

No worries. The Elite whey is a great product - very similar to the Optimum 100%, but much more cost effective.

Should I be drinking protien shake??

Ah just found this topic :) up to 158 serves in total, this was a bit of a typo that I'm going to rectify right now. It varies slightly in between packets though, because a scoop size weighs differently depending upon the flavour. For example, 1 serve of the chocolate is heavier than 1 serve of...

Is it possible to build muscle AND lose fat at the same time?

Personally, I think fitness and nutrition has always been complicated because science plays an important role in both these fields. The difference is that many years ago, the science just wasn't available, so much was left to chance. Even today, much of the science still isn't completely...
