    Pervs in the Gym

Unfair stereotype! My wife has had a kid (two years old) and she is a gym junkie, she also knows several girls at the gym who have had children.

    My diet, suggestions please?

This is interesting, I have come across a number of anti-soya bean sites in my time. For example this one, which is really damning: THE DOWNSIDE OF SOYBEAN CONSUMPTION But why do we never see the down sides from reputable sources (like the CSIRO, and the US Food and Drug Administration)? I'm...

An easy way to speed up motabolism

"First, the reason that certain foods like celery are already low in calories is exactly because of their high-non-caloric nutritional content. The fact that cellulose, water and minerals like sodium contain no calories is already figured into the food’s caloric-content. That’s why it has...

An easy way to speed up motabolism

I'm pretty sure that is a myth, I remember hearing a dietician debunking it. Logically, just look at the amount of sugar you would get in a pineapple. If you want something with 0 kJ, try dust!

    Pervs in the Gym

True, the blokes have kind of hijacked this thread. There must be a mathmatical formula, that dictates how long a thread continues before someone posts pictures of tits.

An easy way to speed up motabolism

I think the fluid with food thing has been debunked, I think the yoga gurus started the myth. If it has been linked in multiple reputable scientific journals then it deserves more thought, otherwise just eat healthy and exercise. No easy solution, just work your arse off.

Does anyone have any suggestions for my Back/Chest day?

Further tip, perform exercise facing cliff so that sheep pushes backwards.

    Compound Exercises

"Sarah Conner?" *BANG... BANG* Best imagined with Arnie's accent. Squats would have to be the hardest compound exercise, followed by the dead lift. Just finished my 'leg day' which near destroyed me.

Has anyone put their suppliments in the fridge?

No! Assuming you have a relatively new fridge, and assuming the biscuits/chips weren't wet when you put them in there, they will stay fresh and crisp for days. My mother used to do it. Things generally only get icy if they are already wet and at a really cold part of your fridge. Fridges...

Where in Australia do you find a protein shaker?

Bottle shops generally don't have shakers. Incidentally, at a home brew shop that I used to go to he had beer on tap and used to give you a cold midi of beer as you entered the store. Probably to make you more liberal with your cash, he was certainly a good businessman.

Has anyone put their suppliments in the fridge?

No, generally moisture is not a problem in the fridge (by design). Unless down in Adelaide you are still using ice boxes. I keep biscuits/chips in the fridge and it keeps them fresh for many days.

    need some general help

I'm not a dietician or an exercise scientist, but through my research I have gathered that it is important to reduce your kilojoules intake but keep the meals regular and small. If you go without meals it tends to slow your metabolism down which makes it harder to lose weight. An example from...

Creatine Monhydrate Vs Creatine Ethyl Ester

Aek, you seem to have the right motivation but you shouldn't draw those conclusions from the 'study' you did. Proper scientific studies should involve, at the very least, baseline observations, placebos, double blinding and a control group. There are also all kinds of statistical anomalies...

    My workout routine..welcome feedback

That sounds a bit like dodgy science to me, whereabouts did you read that? I thought the professionals split their routine so that they could get their energy back and do two serious workouts per day. However, you must be doing something right if you're shifting those kg. I generally work out...
