    Rows comparison?

How about inverted rows too. If you do them strict, bodyweight would be enough resistance for most. Can always add a weight vest or plates for more resistance. Like the prone rows, it's tough to cheat when you do controlled reps.

    July Calf Challenge

Tuesday 3rd July, 2012 Standing Calf Raise - on leverage squat machine 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 Really good stretch at the bottom, as the toe block has got really grippy sandpaper type grip on it. Toes stay completely stuck the whole rep, and it's a round tube...

    Best power rack? OPINIONS PLEASE

This one, commercial Body Solid model. Deadlifting in the back section is convenient, but can deadlift in the main section too. edit - actually, you have to deadlift in the beck section as the band pegs would interfere in the main section. Back is more convenient as that's where the plates...

    Sydney's Best new Gym ?????

I would expect that most of the equipment for gyms like PTC's and other independent hardcore gyms is mostly owned outright, or in the process. Doesn't matter if you have mixed brands and old and new gear combined together, as long as it works and gets the job done. These new gyms where...

    Sydney's Best new Gym ?????

Another clip: 6jGLp6g8MBc&feature=related Have seen a similar gym in Camperdown (Sydney), which opened quite a few years ago. It could be some sort of gym in a box that Life Fitness promotes to cashed up clients who want to own a gym.

Important things to look for in a bench?

Hi Joe, Well, if you are insistent on 30cm wide, your choices certainly are limited. The Muscle Motion commercial flat bench is a good bench, but flat only. If you can wait until Monday, I'll take a video of both of these adjustable benches...

Important things to look for in a bench?

Yes, both the plywood pad backing together with the backrest and seat subframe are very structural and should be considered in the overall decision. Some pads overhang the subrfame too much and are only thin ply, 10mm or so, and will simply snap if loaded on the edge.

    July Calf Challenge

I'm 2/3 way through my 1/2 inch arm gain in 30 days, so need a new challenge. Actually, my only goals this year were 1 inch on arms and calves, so this is perfect. But, don't want to train calves every day, can I still be in this? If have to do them everyday, does unweighted seated calf...

    Compact/cheap Equipment to safely squat/bench

Which is also a modified copy of the more original Keys Fitness FID. The part I don't like about this design is the seat adjustment mechanism and more impotrantly, the junction between the front post and the main frame of the bench, it's a weak point.
