    Hello, and any advice appreciated.

From the photo of your upper body would venture a guess and say 10-11% ish, everybody is different though. I don't think you mentioned anywhere in your posts as to what your goals are? Performance/strength based, size/physique or both? Cause you mentioned your lifts as well as being happy...

    sumo vs conventional again

SI is the Sacroiliac joint, it's where the two halves of your pelvis meet the spine. You have to work on your hip ROM how? Did she say which muscle/s were tight? That's a nice blanket statement. Would be real helpful if he has some crazy anterior pelvic tilt and his low back was already...

No Bull Supps - Customer Service Review

So I decided to give No Bull Supplements a try after a lot of good reviews on this site of their products. So I ordered Creatine, WPC and some beef jerky. The problem was that it was never delivered. As I chased up with NBS, they said that it WAS delivered to my property and that since there...

    Force USA Power Rack

That trap bar looks horrible PerthMac! Sleeves would barely fit 3 plates. Not sure about the handles either, and definitely different to the product shown in photo and video.

body proportions and hitting squat depth

Yeah Tony G is a boss, he always writes great stuff. The thing is I have tight hamstrings (problem I'm working on) but can get full knuckles to floor through lumbar flexion. Best way to test them by yourself is an active straight leg raise. *Lie on your back on the floor, with your legs...

body proportions and hitting squat depth

Looks a heap better mate! Yeah it might cost you now but once it's engrained it'll be time for PR's. In the side on vid it looks like you're losing nuetral position in your lower back just a little. Could be due to the new form or possibly tight hammies.

    Recent Internet Drama

The explosive strength deficit (ESD) is very useful for determining what sort of training protocol an athlete should employ. For example, there are two AFL players who both have 40" box jumps. Player A weighs 85kg and can Back Squat 120kg for a 1RM, Player B also weighs 85kg and squats 205kg...

Did you? Don't correct somebody when you don't even physics... F = m*a is an equation for force. P = f*v is an equation for power.

    The Path of Most Resistance

I'm going to say neither as well. If the end goal is hypertrophy the main focus during a training session is to cause a large amount of damage in a relatively short amount of time. Balancing the variables so can use the right weight, for the right reps with an adequate rest period in between...

    Force USA Power Rack

As far as I know all the Commercial Racks are the same, there is no "newer" model that isn't made to the 1290mm width specs. The F-PC non commercial rack has a 1220mm version out now. I have a ABC bar with Trap bar collars for my rack which although gives me smalles collars it gives me 50mm...

body proportions and hitting squat depth

Do you need to be sitting back like they do in equipped lifting? No. Back and then down would be how most raw squatters would see it I think. Again can't tell from the side how wide the stance is, but a Shoulder width to 2x Shoulder width squat stance should cover most raw squatters. You'll...

    Earthquake Bench Bar

They have one at the gym I train at in Melbourne (ESP), it's an awesome bar. A little better design, I think, than the previous Bandbell Bar because it has spaces where you can put the bands so they're in closer or further out to vary the difficulty of the same weights. Not designed for a heavy...

    safety squat bar?

The broomstick handle stretch is awesome but get some bands and it will be a friendlier version of the same movement because the hands are not in a fixed position. Here are a bunch of vids that'll help. Introduction and Band Traction.mov - YouTube SuperDtv Shoulder Mobility Work for...

body proportions and hitting squat depth

From the vid I can see heels coming up off the ground and hips translating forward as you reach your bottom position which causes your knees to do the same (more noticeable in the second rep). Can't really tell what position the bar is in from the vid, guessing low? With your lack of mobility in...

    Mobility choosing bands

Great idea! Mobwod has awesome advice. But as far as the Force USA bands go, they're way too expensive compared with other seller's prices. For example 1 single mini band from G+F is $20+PH. A PAIR of mini's from GymDirect is $20+PH. I'd probably get the Starter pack for the best value.

    Powerlifting workshop- Melbourne

Well that went quick lol. Last time I went to a seminar I took my laptop and got a bunch of great ebooks/vids. So I'm doing the same this Sunday. If anybody want's to bring a hard drive and get 40+GB worth of stuff related to strength/powerlifting etc they can.

    phosphatidic acid the new creatine?

Yeah it's in a lot of foods, but it's also a banned substance under WADA. If you have levels in the blood greater than that which can be consumed it can result in penalties. It's used as a dieuretic and it can mask steroid use. Beta Alanine is good, with a lot of decent research on it. The...

    Force USA Power Rack

Buy some 25mm BMS rounds, they are the right size to fit in the pin holes and band attachment holes. I bought a few metres because my DB's only go up to 65kg so I use a 700mm piece for that, and use 2 x 1.2m pieces for extra spotting pins that I can hang bands from.
