    Benching

In the same boat as you man, I train alone and after a certain weight I have trouble. Three things I know thats helped: 1. You're already doing, making sure your position is spot on so you don't have to move the bar a mile before you even start. 2. Pin Presses for 2-3 sets of 3-5 reps with...

    Benching

Just making sure, but are the rings PL wide or OLY wide. Difference of about 50mm. Yeah my grip is where yours is/was for most sets. Here's how I, and a few others go for widths. Close grip - Either just touching or an inch out from knurling. Medium grip - 1 inch in from the ring. Wide grip...

    Benching

Firstly how wide is your normal grip in relation to the rings? Tucking so the bar wrist and elbow are all in line is as far as you need to go. Take a vid from the side and you shoulder be able to tell. Use 10kg plates instead of 20s to get a better view of the elbow.

    Nose Tork

No they arent. Nose tork is Crystallised Ammonium Salts. NH4CL. You can use the chemical based ammonias sold in hardwares, but you need to dilute the solution with distilled water (5-10/95-90) then soak some cotton balls and put them in a small bottle. Some gym's in the states do it like this...

Sternum, top of abs is as low as most non equipped lifters go. Then there's that guy in Goosey's vid lmao. Going too far down toward the belly will yes most likey ruin leverages and be too hard to recover big weights if they should fail.

    SLDL technique

Gooseys first post was SPOT ON for a SLDL, and I know this is knit pickey but the other guys are describing RDL's. Its a hip hinge pattern. Pushing the hips as far as you can back as you can without losing balance is the main goal with RDL's and GM's. Oni and Callan, if you guys have great...

    Benching

With closer grips there will be a greater amount of shoulder rotation and more stretch of the material. Generally when I use closer grips and from what I've seen ROM will be limited via boards or pins. Wearing it a little higher or lower on the elbow also affects performance somewhat and took...

    Benching

I have both the Blue and Red Slingshots and have used the Ram and would say that if I were to purchase only one it would be the Blue. Can be used with minimal weight (I used to have trouble even touching 100 in the Red) and can be used for push ups as well. Wont give you as much boost wise, but...

    Extra training

If you plan on doing it in the morning (because you train at night?) I would go with lower intensity fasted cardio. With some coffee, if you use it, as the only thing you consume prior to training. If you have your heart set of HIIT, I'd do it later in day/night or even as a part of your full...

    Powerlifting and vegetarians?

Wouldn't be Friuli by chance? Cause that, along with some polenta, sounds like Sunday at Nonna's to me :D I think it's great when people choose to go vego for ethical or their own personal reasons. But when they preach, and tout the benefits of their lifestyle to dissuade me from my own it...

    Powerlifting and vegetarians?

This is true for a person who weighs 70kg with a deskjob. For a 95kg person with a manual job and equivolent training routine not so much. Difference is probably about 1000-1200 calories.

    Flat bench, 30cm-32cm wide, options?

Out of the 2 Flat Benches they're basically identical. The ForceUSA does have 4mm steel compared to GD's 3mm though. Larger width benches do exist in the States but havent seen any here. (1:40ish) SuperDtv-Speed Bench, FatPad & Big Men! - YouTube Why are you just getting a flat if you...

    Ab Exercises

Was it the exercises themselves that helped? Or possibly that you did them every day adding to your existing routine and through the extra work and calorie expenditure you lost waist size?

    Ab Exercises

For ab wheel start out with 3 sets with as many reps as you can get. WITHOUT LOSING NUETRAL SPINE. By that I mean as your lower back sags stop. Form = "crunch" your abs before you start. Tense your glutes, and only go out as far as you can. If you can get full reps great. If you can get up to...
