Remember up until the early/mid 90s when in sports such as rugby league and union, to get forwards to bulk up, clubs used to instruct players to increase their meat pie, sausage roll, chips and beer consumption?
hahaha how quickly times changed.
maybe if your coach was Tom Raudonikis
hahahaha, as funny as it sounds its true. I have studied cases in my tax law subjects at uni where rugby league players from as recent as the 80s and early 90s were instructed exactly what I wrote above to bulk up. they all tried to claim the extra beer and food purchases back on tax. Unfortunately for them they couldn't, but their gym memberhsips they could.
They knew you needed to exercise, but the food/nutrients side of being fit and healthy just wasn't known or wasn't a big focus.
You can claim gym memberships on tax?
