A simple calculation to find out the purity of your supplements in here

First of all, a quick guide.

If you use a WPI, you want a good value powder to be as close to 90% as possible.

If you use a WPC, you would want a good value powder to be as close to 80%.

For an Amino Acid drink, as close to 100% purity as possible or 98% is more common today as most are flavoured and no one dares to touch one anymore that isn't, lol.

So simple maths if you grab your products now:

WHEY PROTEIN (WPI AS THE EXAMPLE)

If a protein powder states it has 27g of protein per 30g serve you do 27 divided by 30 = 0.9. You then multiply this number by 100 and the next figure you see is the percentage of protein that your product contains, in this case, 90% protein which is as good as it gets with purity of a Whey Protein.

With Australian products, this will be much easier as you only need to look at the "100g" column of the nutritional label, Whatever the number says there is the percentage so if it says 90g of protein in the 100g column, then it is a 90% protein powder. The calculation I have made bold above is for U.S products. They do not provide a "100g" column on their nutritional labels for whatever reason.

AMINO ACIDS (BCAA'S OR EAA'S)

Pretty much the same maths is involved here and again, much easier to look at the "100g" column and whatever the number says there, is the percentage of Amino Acids (what you just paid for and NOT the fillers) that are in your product.
This can also be done for your Pre-Workout products too.

Please, if you run into any troubles while doing this at home or have a product that contains a Proprietary Blend and aren't able to calculate accurately or just need help or maybe just to see if you have done your calculations correctly, just post in here.

Cheers.
