CHANGES IN WEIGHT CATEGORIES
Source - http://www.eleikosport.se/weightlifting/News

During the IWF Executive Committee's meeting in Antalya the Scientific Research Committee presented for the committee's discussion a draft of proposals for new IWF weight categories, prepared by a member of this committee - prof. Lyn Jones.

In women, proposed changes will apply to five categories:

Up to 59 kg (today 58)
66 kg (63)
74 kg (69)
83 kg (75)
+83 kg (+75)

For men - to only four:

Up to 86 kg (today 85)
96 kg (94)
107 kg (105)
and +107 kg (+105).

Looks like a science project to me.

I'm not sure what to make of it either. There are a fair amount of bw classes, as PTC has discussed sometimes there's only 1 or 2 entrants in the classes & the team that did the proposal are wanting to change things. Not sure.
