Hi everybody just found this wonderful forum. Looking forward to reading through the threads and wish I had found it earlier.
Little history I'm late twenties male started working out about 9 months back(lost 9 kilos yay). Doing cardio, weights and ab exercises. Was going really well until I injured myself with a Inguinal hernia. Not sure exactly when it happened but one morning it was there. I've had the scans done and doctor is organising some specialists for surgery. He is indicating it could be about 6 months with a public hospital.
It's only being about 3 weeks so I've cut back to just cardio and jump rope. I've kept the diet the same doubled my cardio to take the ab/weights time I allocate daily but I've already put four kilos back on. I'm worried by the time I have surgery I would have fallen back into my old lazy habits. I just wanted to see if anyone had some exercises that you can still perform with a hernia? Or if anyone has had one what was their experience with working around it?
