I am looking for a good quality gym in the Bendigo area that can support my better half. She is keen to get into body building, and needs support for training / diet etc. She has been doing basic power lifting for a while but wants to step up and get a bit more serious.
Clearly the CCI is a big comp in Bendigo but are there any local competitors, and if so where do they train??

How big is Bendigo?
Surely you must know all of the gyms. I've been to Bendigo, surely there would not be more than 2,3 or 4 gyms.
Go to each one and check it out.
I was planning on going to the CCI as well. I will get there one year.

Thanks for the feedback all.... I am guessing that any Gym would be ok, the difference between the gyms I guess all comes back to the quality of the instructors. To be competitive I guess that you need someone experienced to provide guidance and assistance..
You do not need an instructor to be competitive.
Why are you basing the quality of the gym based on it's instructors? Two different scenarios all together.
So you are really after an instructor / PT regardless of the gym?
I guess that maybe I am generalising, but am sure that most of the franchised gyms are overflowing with instructors who provide "standard" routines to everyone who walks in the door, most of whom are soccer mums.. I am not convinced that this is the right environment for someone who really want to push themselves and compete..
I guess that both are equally important. A perfectly set up gym without good instructors is useless, and the best instructors in the world are no good if they dont have the right gear to support them...
