Yeah i had thought about some wraps and hooks but i think at the moment i just need some gloves for some other routines
Not use to lifting close to 100 kilo bars for one, my skin is blistering and pinching under it
also abrasive against some cable machine handles too, rubbing it raw
I always found the ones with velcro fitting worked best. I had pink Nike ones with a stretchy wrist fitting that eventually lost its stretchyness and I was forever adjusting them.
The excessive amount of padding on the glove palm used to affect grip on bars and rings.
just lift without gloves and let the skin toughen up, i find lifting without gloves over time have toughened the skin and you get a much better grip and feel when lifting without gloves.

Got sick of cutting mine down, so statred wearing gloves, much better.
Should have started using them years ago, mates give me shit, but palms look a lot better and now they started to use them.
Just buy harbinger gloves, I destroy them quickly but they are cheap enough ($40).
Used thin sponges many moons ago, must have been a 90s thing, but I kept loosing them.
