Help with my first home gym setup

Hi!

Just recently decided to work out after being unfit all my life. Looking at purchasing a complete home gym and would REALLY appreciate everyone's opinion/view on the following items I plan on buying.

Pros and cons? Better deals elsewhere? Cheapest price/place I can get these items?

Power Rack:

Powertec Power Rack ($740)

Powertec Power Rack

Barbell:

BO220BN ($563.73)

Australian Barbell Company Pty Ltd - 220CM BLACK NITRIDE OLY BAR

For bench press, deadlifts, squats etc. Correct barbell for general use?

Weight Plates

Maxxs Olympic Plates

20kg plates x 2
10kg plates x 4
5kg plates x 4
2.5kg plates x 2
1.25kg plates x 2

Total 107.5kg

Olympic Weight Plates

If I purchase the power rack and weights from Sams the shipping is capped. So I save quite a bit.

Any advice??

Happy Easter everyone!

Get the Power Bar from ABC

what you have purchased is a weightlifting bar for snatches and clean&jerks

plates combos, get 2 x 1.25, 2.5, 5 and 10
then the rest 20s

Noted on the weight plates. I suppose it's better to get it all at once rather than the need to purchase more in the future since postage is the same anyway.

Regarding the ABC Barbell, this is the correct one for general use?

220CM OLY B/N POWER BAR (BOP220)

Australian Barbell Company Pty Ltd - 220CM OLY B/N POWER BAR

So glad I asked before I made the purchase!

Yeah that's why I got confused. On the website it states the "power" bar is for specialist use which I took it meant for snatches/cleans etc

While the Oly bar states for "general use"

Bop220 is power bar the oly refers to the collars

Bo220bn is the actual Olympic bar

Go the BOP 220

Just wondering, does anyone have any close up pictures of the 220CM OLY B/N POWER BAR??

My favourite bar, Australian Barbell Co BOP220
