One Bar or Two.

It's a shame they can't even offer details on their own products. It's extremely disappointing they use the same shaft for their cheapest power bar as their most expensive WL bar. A WL bar NEEDS to be 28mm and can't perform like a WL bar if it's using the same shaft as PL bar. Completely...

    Power rack!

I've never done any jerk recoveries, mostly because I've never been around a rack tall enough. But when power racks are used in weightlifting they usually seem to be very shallow, like the ZKC ones

    Power rack!

I hate the idea of racking a bar straight onto a metal bolt thing like that, I see on your rack it looks like you've covered them in tape. I'm also never sure why power racks are so deep, surely it could be half as deep and be just as useful without taking up as much space? It would also make it...

The 5 Second Rule - Myth or Fact

Mythbusters did the 5 second rule back in 2005: I eat dropped food off the floor all the time though, just because there's bacteria doesn't mean it's going to do anything to you.

    coffee

I have coffee once or twice a day, in the form of a table spoon (not cooking table spoon) of instant in a soup mug with some skim milk. And 2 or 3 scoops of whey. I bought their Coffee WPI to suit my coffee and whey drinking. Not a huge fan of it, but it's definitely coffee. I prefer to use...

Green Tea Supplements: Do they work?

I've taken it in the past, mostly because it's generally very cheap so why not. I used to actually drink green tea but I just can't stand the taste. Especially when you're at the end of the cup and it's all concentrated and lukewarm. Damn near makes me vomit. Still have most of a couple of...

    Where to get Olympic collars?

I haven't really considered them, because they don't seem to do their job all that well and don't seem to last that long. Plus they're not cheap either, like $50 for the legit ones when good Ivanko collars can be had around $70

    Where to get Olympic collars?

I'm a weightlifter training at home and I like to minimise noise when dropping the bar. Most of the noise is dulled by the platform, but the most noticeable noise comes from the plates and bar clattering together. So I want a pair of proper collars to secure the plates tightly, plus stop the...

    NOOB Question StrongLifts and StartingStrength

SS is a decent beginner's program backed by a book written by a very experienced beginner's coach. SL is almost the same thing, taken by a marketer and made a little more accessible for the noob. Both use the same method to get a beginner stronger, but most people starting out get too bogged...

the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

God I hate seeing that. Once I saw a guy who actually seemed to have some natural affinity for cleans, then I hear the trainer say 'no, pull with your arms more!'

BENT AFTER 2 MONTHS! Force USA Commercial Grade Olympic Power Bar (1500lb)

Alarm bells go off for me when it's called an 'olympic grade power bar'. That makes zero sense. If you're more into powerlifting I guess you're right to go for the Texas, but Pendlay bars are great, been smashed in serious American gyms for years.

    Benching for Oly lifts

That could be a decent tactic, with some shoes having variable heel heights according to shoe size. I think Adipowers are all the same, but I'm pretty sure Romaleos and I know Ristos have smaller heels on small sizes and bigger heels on bigger sizes.
