That's great lifting. It's good to know that you can keep lifting great totals as you get older (not knocking your age), that's really impressive. I sometimes have to realise that the open comps are against guys in the early 20's and 30's and I've only just started myself. Ahhh to have my time...

Yeah am considering the Master in October. We'll see, I'm new to the game and feels like a big jump from a local comp to a national comp. In saying that, looking back on the last comp we (me and coach) thought I had another 10kg I could have added to the total. Given that and plenty of time left...

U120kg. When I started last year that I was going to give PL a crack I was 105kg and now I'm 115kg. Can safely say it wasn't all muscle and I am currently trying to get my weight back down. Didn't realise how hungry I'd get with the training load. Live and learn I guess.

Did my first sanctioned comp a month back with PA. Squat: 215kg Bench: 136kg Deadlift: 250kg Total 601kg. Started proper lifting (hitting depth, ques etc) 6 months ago. Competing in Masters 40 - 44 so have a total that I can go try and better now. Comp day is a tonne of fun.

    Which Federation

I competed in my first novice comp over the weekend and had a blast, didn't realise how fun they day was going to be. Now I've tasted it, I wouldnt mind trying some real comps and as I've never really looked into it, there are obviously a lot of federations to choose from. My coach on the day...

    I dont understand Deadlift Fatigue

My deadlift finally became of real use the other day. 2 blokes took their sail boat out and they came back in, put it on their trolley and were trying to get it through this small gap where the gate was. It was too wide and they were stuck so I offered some help, they both went one end of the...

Looking at her Instagram I can see why the airline may have thought she...

Novice comps for Shits and Giggles

Thinking of trying a comp at the end of the year just for the hell of it and I don't know why really, just think it would be cool to say I did it. Won't come close to being on the podium but guess it gives you a goal to work towards and you can get a total marked off then go try and beat it...

Steroids - FAQ, and a thread for the n00bs.

All written in my previous post. "but curious to know at what stage do people start using in regards to powerfilting and do we have a record of heaviest lifts from those not taking?" "at what stage did those of you who do take anything decide it's time?"

Steroids - FAQ, and a thread for the n00bs.

Bit of a random question as I have not ever even looked at this stuff before but curious to know at what stage do people start using in regards to powerfilting and do we have a record of heaviest lifts from those not taking? I'm about to hit 41 years, trying to get stronger and recovery is...

Lunch on the run..........on the walk

Lol thanks for the replies. It's a time thing. I workout 5am close to home then have an hour drive to work and obviously on the way home as well. I merely want to get out from the desk. We have a lot of people in our office and a tiny kitchen so waiting for the microwave is an issue plus the...

Lunch on the run..........on the walk

I work and office job, I workout before work and sit all day. I was thinking of heading out for a walk on my lunch breaks and looking for ideas to eat on the walk. Currently for lunch I eat baked chicken and steamed veggies (birdseyes ones) and eat at my desk. I need the microwave and bowls and...
