    My Program. Opinions?

I'll revise over the assistance again, and i'm still using your base program you gave me a while ago, but the assistance work you probably haven't gone over this time, I changed it cause I felt my shoulders needed work, i messaged you a while ago but yeah, you might of been busy or something...

    My Program. Opinions?

I'm looking to start powercleans soon, the upright rows is kinda a substitute for the time being, but i'm gonna have to maybe change to a different program if i want to add in powercleans since its more of a primary exercise. I might start doing that with my press and bench as well. Also, the...

    My Program. Opinions?

Yeah sometimes, it takes me like hour and a half usually with a partner, but its not too bad i guess. and my militarys probably my best lift in terms of progress at the moment

    My Program. Opinions?

I've been on this program for ages now and i'm happy with it. I was just interested to see what others who might not of seen my training think of my program. This program has been revised over quickly by Trent from PTC. The main idea is to hit my primary strength/compound lifts hard, and use the...

    Rows comparison?

Yep might just start doing heavy rows. Sounds more fun than anything else. Also i've been meaning to learn powercleans I wish it was that easy but I need to go back to PTC to learn them

    Beginners program

Funny enough, I think i'm not far off these lifts which sounded impossible to me when I first saw them :P. I'll be going for a 120-130 squat at PTC comp, 80-90 bench and 160-170+ deadlift. If I can nail all of those, i'm almost there :)

Too old to learn to squat?

I'm gonna teach my 59 year old dad how to squat soon. he's even considering going into PTC. he's beast, he held a plank for 11 minutes at a fitness bootcamp last year. I was mirin' and completely jelly.

    Rows comparison?

Okay well i think i'm gonna mix it up every week, might start with chest supported rows tomorrow, t bar row the next week, barbell row the week after. Might just mix it up a little

    Rows comparison?

So your saying that rows should be thought of as assistance work instead of a primary lift?
  11. SWH

    Rows comparison?

Okay i might try that. But is there any significant differences? is the T bar row more of a hypertrophy exercise?

    Rows comparison?

I've been using them as a strength exercise sorry, to get stronger at rows. I do rows as a main lift on wednesdays

    Rows comparison?

What i meant is are they the same or do they have different primary purposes? I just haven't been seeing much progress with anything on my barbell rows, it feels like a waste of time if oyu know what i mean. i might not be doing them properly but still wanted some input I don't have enough...

Argh i wish i had the money to make my own gym! I have an empty garage with plenty of space begging to be made into a training area

    Rows comparison?

I was wondering if the barbell row is more beneficial to a T bar row or a dumbbell row? I've been doing barbell rows for a while and i was looking to change them up but i know barbell rows are an important compound exercise. Can these rows be substituted with a t bar row and still have the same...

Stupidest shit you have heard *bodybuilding related*

Some guy was benching 100kg and he was around my age. A guy who goes to my gym told me that he has a big chest advantage because he cracked his sternum doing dips and then muscle grew around the damaged area, thats how he can bench so much ;)

    Changing from starting stength

So are you saying if he does the sample program i provided he won't build muscle
  18. SWH

    Changing from starting stength

From my experience. The heavy weight at a lower range of reps will put on size. Strength is the main goal yes but the size comes. I'm still new to the game and i don't really know any other way but in my opinion something like that will benefit most but I haven't tried much else. From what i've...

    Changing from starting stength

If you were doing lifts x12 you weren't doing starting strength. If your looking to add on some more bulk i'd say stick with starting strength. So many people think of it as a strength only program but nobody sticks to it long enough to reap the long term benefits of both looks and size/looks...
