    Post Your Leg Workout

So it looks like I've gone from high bar squats and SLDL (as posted previously) to low bar squats, front squats, RDL, leg extensions, hamstring curls, and calf raises. Shit got complicated. :p edit: Sometimes deficit sldl too. Fuuuuck.

    - Low bar squat is not an exercise -

Can't speak for others (like said "guru" is trying to, for example), but *I* have definitely read the whole thing. Not a problem there. As for "emotional replies", give it a fucking break, mate. Calling out what amounts to flat out bullshit is not emotional; it's necessary, and most of it...

    - Low bar squat is not an exercise -

The differences are way the fuck overblown by most interweb gurus. You're still squatting the damn weight, either way. Then some people do a halfway hybrid thing, and that works for them. What differences there are, some say the choice is (or should be) based on body proportions (e.g., femur...

Lifting 5 months, need routine advice. Thanks

Mate, have a look at some of the big powerlifters and other fucking huge monsters, doing "power cleans". Or shit, almost every strongman, all the time. If you have to muscle the bar up a bit, or even totally, it doesn't really matter. There's no reason to be scared of power cleans, despite the...

http://ausbb.com/bodybuilding-training-discussions/22250-routine-critique-advice.html#post426888 or possibly The Young, Skinny, Training with ADD Guy?s Guide to Gaining Mass and Strength You want volume, and efficiency. Both the above will give you that, and if you give it your all, and eat...

    Bar-bell bench press

    1. A natural medium grip, except when I do CGBP. 2. Mostly between 5 and 8 inclusive. 3. We should be doing whatever the fuck we want to do. More to the point, what works. I've tried all kinds of grips, even suicide grip for a bit, and it's probably the bset way to go: try everything and see...

What are you using now, if any?

Bulk Nutrients, Banana at the moment. Om nom nom. As far as Aussie suppliers go, I've had good dealings with them, and with Professional Whey. I recommend both, if anyone's looking for companies to try. Depends what you're after of course, which one's "better".

    Sore joints

Curls and hammer curls and lots of rows and chinups, and working on form. That's what stopped me getting increasing fuckedupness from benching. But I'm still not benching quite as much as you, so could be I'm in for some more pain some time. Fucked if I know. I'll let you know when I'm @ 135...

Anorexic Woman feels great after starting Body Building

Looks like she had okay tits before this "being saved" shit happened. Is that even possible with anorexia? Serious question - I don't know. Seems a bit unlikely though... I mean yeah, the tits are still there (probably by some black magic or other), granted, but um. Sure, heavily roided...

    Beyond 5/3/1

If you ever liked 5/3/1, or the look of it, definitely get that book. It makes the original routine look arbitrarily minimal and inflexible, quite honestly. But that could be seen as less of an endorsement of Beyond 5/3/1, and more of an indictment of 5/3/1...

27 Pullups: can any forum member beat it

Nope, about half that. Maybe 15 or so, tops. edit: That's sctrict dead hang pullups. Chinups, possibly 18+ on a good day.

I tend to have protein powder with a lot of milk (like, 400ml+). Is that close to how you have it, Stevecro? I'm also not a fan of overly sweet stuffs, so this is very relevant to me.

18 year old IFBB bikini fitness athlete Lone Norås

For athletes, I can see how they could be beneficial. Not so much for pure strength demonstrators, or stage posers, no. Then again, stage posers might benefit from them too. Fucked if I know. Kickass chick, anyway.

Anyone tried the new Pina COlada? And, is there any chance they're going to offer 5x1kg instead of 1x5kg? Like, evar?! Fuuuuck, it's annoying to have just one flavour.

    NOOB Question StrongLifts and StartingStrength

Far as this sort of linear 3x5/5x5 thign goes, I like Greyskull LP more than those two. It's a template, the idea being you add in whatever lifts you like/need. Can't go wrong with rows, chins, possibly dips, a small amount of direct arm work, and (optional) abs. If any of that's too difficult...

    Noob question..

Gives you something to push against. Yeah, haha. But that's basically it. If you can maintain that kind of force without one, go for it. Some do. Most big lifters, and a damn lot of little ones too, use a belt. Mostly just for heavy working sets, max effort, etc.

    Bodybuilding and your S/O?

Luckily, the missus took an interest in lifting a while back now. She started to notice the progress I was making, liked it, but also... maybe was thinking she was "falling behind" sort of thing. Apparently this happens a lot in relationships when one but not the other gets in shape, be it...
