Which last peices of equipment to get

Picking up a used tuff stuff cx100 functional trainer tonight. Incorporates a lat pulldown and low row (with a full effective 300lbs) plus a good adjustable set of cable towers. This means my gym is complete but for a possible punching bag. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Lat pulldown on cable crossover

I have lots of bands, but at the top of the movement when I struggle most they don't help much (not very stretched). I do inverted rows and try to do negatives at present but not much is improving. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Lat pulldown on cable crossover

That would require me to be capable of multiple pull ups :) Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Lat pulldown on cable crossover

I felt it somewhat more in my brachialis I think. I'm unsure if the very wide grip would limit the usefulness? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Lat pulldown on cable crossover

I tried lat pulldown on my cable crossover yesterday. Grab one high handle in each hand, sit on bench in middle, pull in and down. How does this compare to doing a standard lat pulldown with a bar or with closer spaced overhead pulleys? Trying to figure out if buying a lat pulldown is...

Which last peices of equipment to get

I'm going to see if I can do something similar with my cake crossover, but otherwise I might look at getting one with twin cables. A nautilus freedom trainer would probably kill a lot of birds with one very expensive stone Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Which last peices of equipment to get

After using the life fitness model calf raise at the gym I ordered the cyber fit Commercial calf raise which appears to be a replica. Just a lat pulldown to go now and some kind of punching bag. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Buying a quality barbell

Yes and the sleeves scratch easily in my experience, but it doesn't affect the usability of the bar Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Which power rack better?

Agreed, personally I don't like sabre safeties... This limits rack selection largely to the powertec or the Force USA 'commercial' Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Which power rack better?

Force USA Commercial rack is nice too, band attachments and the like of that's your thing and close hold spacing (and both sabre and square safeties) Hammer strength Commercial racks can be had for a few grand second hand, overkill but nice, you need a very high ceiling Iron cage from...

    Which power rack better?

Splash out $9k on a hammer strength rack if money is no issue :) Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Which last peices of equipment to get

Thoughts on lat pull downs with two handles on cables rather than one central one? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

What piece of equipment at your gym do you often have to wait in line for?

None at home :) when I hit the big gym it's usually a short wait for one of the 8 Hammer strength racks for Squats or a Dumbbell bench. Long wait for the pec fly, moderate wait for a cable crossover. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Barbell: ABC or TPB?

I've got a bop220 with the deep fine knurl (standard?) suits me fine, any more aggressive would cut up my girly hands too much. Cost me about $430 at the factory door still hot from machining if I remember correctly Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Rubber Weight Plates vs Bumper

Really? I tend to bang my deadlifts down occasionally as my grip gives out and I was considering bumpers (I have rubber coated at present) for longevity and protection of my ABC bar... Not valid thinking? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Which last peices of equipment to get

Did some playing with space and my trap bar and lever squat, leg press isn't going to make the cut, lat pulldown and low row for the win, ideally selectorised 120kg stack.. Seated calf as well, body solid unless I find a well priced 2nd hand Commercial Semi - Commercial upright exercise...

    Beginner's equipment

ABC powerbar, muscle motion bumpers, force usa fly bench and probably muscle motion rack. I'd say for that budget Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
