    Plan on home gym.

My only concerns being strength of rack and that rear bar. It seems to have nice Jhooks and a small room footprint. It also weighs about the sqme as the MM rack.

    Exercise machines are for cripples

I disagree. These people paid good money. They clearly had some level of dedication. Many were worked to exhaustion by their pt. Yet 6 months later were still in poor shape. The fooballers did a bit of bench and squats and after a few months each had gotten a bit bigger and stronger. Most...

    Exercise machines are for cripples

You are working under the assumption that people are lazy. I saw people who had paid good money for personal training. They obviously had some initial level of dedication. But after a few months of lackluster results give it up. If I was going to the gym and not feeling like my time was...

    Exercise machines are for cripples

99% of the people I see using machines, the basic clientelle of the 5 gyms I have worked out at, as the main focus of their workout look the exact same or fatter after 6 months of training. I would say that is not results. I have seen guys on football teams, as they were the largest group I...

    Exercise machines are for cripples

I've never seen anyone get decent results on machines. I can see some small use for an advanced body builder or people with some form of injury or problem. I can't fathom why pt's seem to favour them so much. I also can't understand why 90% of the floor space is dedicated to them.

    CrossFit another fitness fad?

Since most people's goal is general fitness, I see Crossfit having good longevity. On par with Pilates. At least it gets women lifting real weights. I get pretty tired of pt's and gyms wasting women's time and effort with misinformation. What it has going for it is the sense of...

What type of training goes well with mma?

You can only serve 1 master. If mma is your goal it has to be your priority. I'd look at str training 2 days per week so you can focus on the mma and your fitness for the others.

Custom Fabrication for pullup bars in Aus?

Pretty much the same footprint as the Cybertek, Gymdirect, or Force. Only it has a totally crap chin up bar. Not only is it the most expensive of these racks but now you are looking at a mod for the chin up bar.

With that sort of infrenquency you probably should be doing a full body workout. ie Squat, Bench + assistance on the one day and Deadlift, Press + assistance on another. So lets say... Day 1 Squat, Lunge Variation, Bench, Dumbell Incline Press, Row or Chin Variation... Day 2 Deadlift...

    small sturdy power rack

If I had a welder, I might make one myself. Biggest worry would be the way the steel would warp due to the heat and not be an exact 90... was always a problem when I welded parts for automobile racks. The other option, in the if I had a welder category, would be to reinforce the rack I now have...

    small sturdy power rack

Don't see why it would simply crumple to dust in the middle of a set. Its in great shape atm. I've never dropped a big weight on it. I have searched through the threads and narrowd down my choices of large racks to MM, FORCE or Cyberfit. Am really happy with this size though. Be nice if...

    small sturdy power rack

BPR02 Power Rack with High Low Pulley I currently have a rack this size. Its the bodymaker version bought off ebay like 6 or 7 years ago. Has 2" tubing. The size suits me well, but I am starting to out grow it. I am kinda concerned as my squat pushes up closer to 180 that the rack won't be...
