can make you feel more relaxed, more happy, sleep better, have whacky dreams..

only needs to be an occasional thing.. every day is not required or recommended(imho?)
for some people it is an easy way to adjust/elevate their moods, or level out depression episodes without resorting to harder (prescription) drugs. can have similar effects to prozac (in people that are still able to produce enough serotonin themselves, but lacking the "food" to do that), but more mild and less abrupt on and off
it can have quite bad side effects if you are on SSRI's or SNRI's, which keep more serotonin in your system. afaik, it is not recommended to supplement 5HTP when you are on prescription drugs that effect serontonin.
in some ways, it's kinda like a "soft drug", but is just like other supplementation.. your body can and will adjust.. ie most people can't make "too much" serotonin

if only there was a testosterone booster that worked this well
