Just curious too see everyone's thoughts on this piece of equipment. I know it's got a cross fit rep but my gym has got one and i was considering adding it too one of my leg days as a finisher..

Can't squat at the moment but sled drags and pushes on my home made sled/prowler are growing my legs fine.

On an unrelated note, Bazza is a dairy farmer, his boots are rubber and they come up to his knees. He tucks his overalls into them.

yep use the prowler quite a bit, load it up and run as hard as possible, it absolutely smashes you even when you cant run anymore you just take steps pushing the bastard thing along and you can feel you legs about to explode

About to buy one of these!

Sticky what sort of ways have you guys incorporated using the prowler into your training without it affecting you squatting and deadlifting recovery? I imagine it takes it out of your legs and lower back pretty hard if you were to do a solid 15-20 minute session with it.

15minutes worth of prowlers...I doubt any sane person would do it...

I've done prowlers with 30 sec breaks superset with KB swings and tabata....

3 laps and it farkin near killed me... One dude passed out... Another looked like she was going to hock up a lung...

hahahaha righto guess i under estimated the sheer death that a prowler brings..

I was thinking of something like 20m cones set up, push prowler 20m sprint back to other cone then walk recovery back to the prowler for 6-10 reps etc.

Im in the ADF and thats the sort of PT that they PTI`s used to drill us with, usually tire flips and jerry can carries instead of a prowler though. Will have to wait till i get it and give it a try i spose.
