Shrek

Fucked up Kunce
Anyone used one before? Looks beastly. There's one for sale on ebay. Would fit nicely in my garage.

The only thing I don't like about it is it looks like there's a fair distance between you and the weights.
Have you seen the Powertec one?

The angle of that footplate....is that safe? If you imagine rotating the whole movement to a flat footed position, then wouldn't you be squatting in a hunched over state? Seems peculiar.

The point of the angle is to take the stress off the lower back
You can see in the pic he's perfectly upright

The plate is angled because the movement is rotary.

Which makes sense because the movement around joints are rotary.

Those sled type leg presses can be tricky.

well, can a leverage based system offer natural ROM compared with a free moving weight? Why not just stick to regular BB squats.

For a lot of people barbell squats are limited by lower back strength not leg strength. So people who want to work the legs more can get some benefit from leverage squat machines or leg press over barbell squats.

That's a big chestnut you're trying to reopen.

First of all it is not a Bb squat.

I guarantee that the same muscles are Being used in both the squat and that leverge machine tha groar posted.

With the bb squat the bar is still moving in a straight line, the body is moving around it.
