buying a rack - where?

Hey folks, it's my bday soon, so I'm going to treat myself, hah!

Anyway, I'm looking to get a power rack.
MMPR Power Rack
BPR01 Power Rack

I've been tossing up between those two.

I live in Newcastle, so a Sydney store would be nice, so I don't have to pay 100+ for freight....

Any other suggestions? Main thing I want it is for squats and muscle ups/pull ups. On the pull up bar, I'd really like to find a flat bar instead of shaped, because it limits where I can put my hands on it from the bars connecting to the other side.

I like the MMPR one better the pull grips look nice and the quality looks a bit better. Plus I trust him more.

I bought the MMPR power rack from Gymndirect (they are 5 minutes from me), good stuff, sturdy and the pull up chin up bar is excellent. Plus you get a 10% discount as a member here, so make sure you mention it.

Really? Nice! Pretty much pays for the shipping.

I'd prefer the HPRSP - when you consider you'll probably have to buy a weights tree as well the extra money is worth it.

Yeah, you wont go wrong with the other rack.

For anyone getting into home gyms though - dont cheap out. This is not a hobby for those without money.

Must say I don't agree Oli.

You could get a half decent setup for a couple of grand.

Ever tried motorsport?

lol, about 3 grand is a decent home gym (and I'll spend more).

thing about weightlifting is diet - you should be getting 4-5g of protein per kg of bodyweight a day. Thats a lot of meat, not to mention insane amounts of fruit and veg...
