Creatine Water Retention

Gunner

New member
Does anyone know how long is takes for the water retained in the body from Creatine to leave the body?

Not sure man - if your drinking enough water then honestly you should not be retaining any really - thats what I have found while takign creatine anyway.

The reason I ask is because I just finished a cycle of Creatine while bulking. I am now cutting. On Saturday morning I was 99.6kg, Today I was 97.4kg. My first thought was that it was just the extra water being retained by creatine and extra carbs.

Yea prob just abit of water retention from the carbs/creatine - normally when I start dieting I'll drop 2-3kgs in the 1st week.

Just seemd it was alot of weight to lose in one week. My strength hasn't decreased and I don't feel flat. I still feel full of energy

I've found it takes me about 1 week to lose most of it, and by the end of the second week pretty much all water retained has left.

Good advice, keeping water up will mean your body retains much less.
I think the whole concept of water retention is a bit overblown.
Generally is you relatively lean and don't take in huge amounts of carbs it shouldn't be an issue.

Very true - I have never had a problem with bloat/water retention while taking creatine...it is over-blown like you said.

P.S def going to have to get back on the Bioflex stuff! keen to try out BioFurnace!
