how many of use take extra virgin olive oil in ur diet? how important can it help with muscle recovery, immune boosting ?

Minimal if any.

Just add it to food that requires it but it's not going to do anything magical.

never.

If I need oil for cooking I will either just use a bit of canola spray or coconut oil (because I like the taste, also not for magical properties :p)

actually, you'd be better off using an evoo spray like Moro rather than canola. Canola isn't so good.

But evoo is very good for you. There is no magic oil. there is no magic food. But it's all good, if it's real food. :)

i use it to fry eggs, Not high temp frying no way.

and in every salad.

119 cal per tablespoon of pure good fats. And tastes awsome

being italian might have smething to do with it haha

I've had GI inflammation issues so I use oils which tend to be high in monounsaturated fats (eg EVOO) rather than oils high in polyunsaturated fats (eg grape seed). Apparently mono's have more of the omega 3's and having a positive balance of omega 3's compared to omega 6's (more in poly's) puts you in a more anti-inflammatory state.

I don't know whether the anti-inflammatory benefits extend beyond the GI tract, but if there's a chance it puts your entire body in an anti-flammatory state, then I think it's a pretty damn good reason for anyone who lifts to get plenty of EVOO into you.

for the amount I use I'd say there would be SFA difference but when I run out of canola I'll try some of this EVOO spray.
