Alt of 127 isnt that high at all big mick is just trhing to sound scary. Had my alt 200+ several times. An alchoholics alt will be in the thousands
Go and seek some more advice from a medical professional mate - no1 on this forum will be able to tell you if its really bad to have levels at that range....no1 here is qualified enough to give any sort of advice.
Genics, that's bullshit. Hep A gets into the thousands, classic alcoholism gets nowhere near that.
Classic alcoholism affects AST more than ALT anyway.
Simple fact of the matter is - if you are worried about it seek professional advice - not advice from a forum where none of us really know anything about it. Who cares if other peoples have been 200+ or whatever - if your concerned go and seek advice from a professional.
Aljada is a Dr i believe. I was simply trying to reasure him he probably isnt about to die as big micks posts would imply.
Bazza, in that case your liver values probably would have been normal, except or bilirubin. Bilirubin is a breakdown product of red blood cells and is the thing that builds up causing you to turn yellow. Because you had glandular, you probably had a pre-renal cause where your spleen was over active and destroying more red blood cells than your liver could process.
