has anyone used one of these? is it worth it? i mainly want something for my upper back/scapula/trap region. Small golf ball is just too awkward against the wall of ground.

I don't have the thera cane, but I do have "The Stick" which is sold by Iron Edge. It is fantastic for many parts that foam roller/lacrosse balls just don't work on: calves, shins, hammies, quads, forearms, traps.

no idea sorry. I never really weighed up the options. All I know is the Stick works fine for me. It has little beads that roll and when an individual bead hits a knot, it actually drags a bit and gives extra massage in that spot. Bruised myself the first few times I used it. You need to take it easy and work at problems areas gradually building up over a few sessions.

I've got one. I mainly use it for getting into behind the shoulder blades. It's farkin awesome for that. Pretty good on the traps also. Well best device that I can think of for traps.
