I'm curious to know when all of you increase your
weight on a certain exercise?
What I've been doing is once I can lift the last set
comfortably I'd go up 2.5kg - 5kg. For example I
do flat bench press with dumb bells. I do 4 sets and
then a superset at the end for a total of 6 sets.
So for this example let's say I can press 35lbs for the
4th set. Once this is achieved I'd go up a weight class
at my next work out.
I just wanted to know how much and when would you increase weight for isolations?
So when ever you reach your rep range? eg you want clean 3x8 what if you do 12,6,6 would you increase weight? for the first set normally people are real strong do you rep out max or do you stop at 8?
If you're doing 12 in the first set, then 6 and 6, think you may not be trying hard enough for the last 2 sets. Yes, people are stronger, but not twice as strong.
