you see the video he warms up on 60, goes 100, then 140, then 220 on bench for 6 reps..

Damn, suicide grip on the smith presses..Pray to the God of iron that doesn't slip....
 
Really, I wouldn't even attempt it. I did use it when I first started many years ago. I knew no better.
 
^ I use the suicide grip on all my presses, have been for years, somehow feels more comfortable and stronger for me :eek:

So true mate....to be honest I rarely grip the bar, handle, watever when Im doing anything...besides maybe bicep curl...
